2026 Hunan (Liling) Ceramic Expo Set for Sept 29–Oct 3
The 2026 Hunan (Liling) International Ceramic Industry Expo will open on September 29 and run through October 3 at the China Ceramic Valley International Exhibition Center in Liling, Hunan. Built around the enduring theme "Millennium Porcelain Capital, Colorful Liling" (千年瓷都·五彩醴陵), the event remains one of China's key annual gatherings for ceramic production, trade, and culture.
What the expo is
The Hunan (Liling) Ceramic Expo—commonly called the Liling Ceramic Expo—has been held in Liling since its first edition in January 2015. Over the past decade it has settled into a late-September-to-early-October rhythm at the China Ceramic Valley International Exhibition Center, becoming a fixed meeting point for domestic ceramic regions, international exhibitors, buyers, and industry experts.
The expo is organized by the China Ceramic Industry Association, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Zhuzhou Municipal Government, with the China Light Industry Council among its supporters, and is executed by the Liling Municipal Government together with the Hunan Ceramic Industry Association.

What visitors can expect
The 2026 program follows the expo's established three-category, multi-event format:
- Opening ceremony with the traditional ignition ritual.
- The 9th "CHINA·China" (Liling) Ceramic Art & Design Competition, whose entries are displayed in the Event & Competition Hall.
- Industry forums, including ceramic academic exchanges and the "China Ceramic Valley, Colorful World" forum, where suppliers and buyers share new techniques and processes.
- The "Happy Porcelain City" fireworks over Zuojiachou, and a touring 25-meter inflatable replica of the underglaze-five-color Panama vase (the "World Peace Vase").
- Ceramic DIY and skills competitions —painting and throwing demonstrations at local vocational schools.
- Investment promotion and signing sessions for major projects.
For international buyers, the expo is also a concentrated sourcing window: the Liling Ceramic Hall and International Ceramic Hall put regional and overseas suppliers side by side, and the direct-procurement matchmaking summit connects factories with global buyers in one place.
Why it matters for buyers and brands
Liling is one of China's historic ceramic regions, with porcelain production traced to the Eastern Han dynasty and the birthplace of underglaze five-color ware (釉下五彩) in 1908. A regional expo of this scale signals a mature, concentrated supply chain—exactly the ecosystem a Liling-based manufacturer such as Clayport International draws on for OEM/ODM tableware and home decor.
For overseas retail, hospitality, and private-label buyers, the expo offers a rare chance to compare porcelain and stoneware bodies, glaze finishes (matte, glossy, speckled, reactive, satin), and decoration methods (decal, logo application, pad print) across many suppliers in a single visit—then verify standards on the spot.
Clayport International is a Liling-based ceramic tableware and home decor supply partner established in 2008, with 300+ skilled workers, a 20,000+㎡ production base, and mug programs running at 70,000 pieces per day across 15+ years of OEM/ODM. Buyers attending the 2026 expo are welcome to arrange a factory visit or a sourcing meeting in Liling to discuss specifications, MOQ, lead times, and sample approval.
