Approval package
A sample alone cannot carry every production instruction.
Ceramics vary naturally through forming, drying, firing and glazing. The approved reference should therefore be supported by a written specification that tells production and inspection which characteristics are fixed, which have tolerance, and which require a range.

Change control
Re-approve changes that affect the result.
A golden sample should carry a revision number. If the buyer changes the body, mold, glaze, decoration, logo position, pack structure or critical dimension, issue a revised approval instead of adding informal instructions across emails and chat messages.
Retain one approved reference with the buyer or inspection team and one controlled reference with production where practical. For repeat orders, confirm whether the original materials and process remain available before treating the old sample as automatically valid.
